The Apex of Air-Cooled Performance<\/strong>
\nFollowing in the tire marks of the legendary Yellowbird, RUF\u2019s CTR 2 was no mere sequel\u2014it was a revolution. Built on the Porsche 993 platform and infused with Group C DNA via a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six inspired by the Porsche 962, the CTR 2 pumped out a staggering 580 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a RUF six-speed manual, it rocketed from 0\u201360 mph in 3.6 seconds and topped out at 217 mph\u2014making it the fastest production car in the world when it launched.<\/p>\n

But Alois Ruf wasn\u2019t done. Enter the CTR 2 Sport\u2014a rarer, rawer, and even more track-focused evolution. Just 14 examples were built, and the car is going under the hammer in Monterey, chassis no. W09BC0360WPR06007, is one of only four specified with all-wheel drive.<\/p>\n

Originally delivered in non-metallic black over black leather to Frank Beddor\u2014a name synonymous with RUF\u2019s American presence\u2014it received a factory refresh in Pfaffenhausen following minor transport damage. That work transformed it into a one-off: a stunning green leather interior, Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, and a freshened presence that elevates it further into the stratosphere of collectability.<\/p>\n

With only 16,679 miles and a fresh RUF North America service (July 2025), this CTR 2 Sport embodies everything that makes RUF special\u2014earth-shattering performance wrapped in a package that\u2019s still usable on real roads.<\/p>\n
