The Aston Martin Valkyrie takes its name after the Norse mythological figure, it is also known by its code-names: AM-RB 001 (\u2018AM\u2019 stands for Aston Martin, and \u2018RB\u2019 stands for Red Bull) and \u2018Nebula\u2019 (an acronym for Newey, Red Bull and Aston Martin). It is a limited-edition hybrid hypercar collaboratively built by British automobile manufacturers Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies and Cosworth.<\/p>\n

1000+ HP<\/h2>\n

Powered by a mid-engine 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, combined with an electric motor for instant torque, the Valkyrie produces a total output of 1,140 bhp, with 1,000 bhp coming from the V12 alone. Even more impressive is that the car\u2019s structure doesn\u2019t contain a single steel component, allowing it to weigh just 1,030 kg\u2014an attribute more common in LMP1 or Formula One cars, but delivered here in a road-legal format with the Valkyrie.<\/p>\n

Outside<\/h2>\n

Its exterior is highly aerodynamic, featuring an extensively open underfloor that operates on the principle of the Venturi effect, allowing it to produce 1,814 kg (4,000 lb) of downforce at high speeds. Gaps on the car\u2019s surface, such as above the front axle and the roof intake, along with a large front splitter, contribute to generating downforce. The wheels are also designed to optimise airflow while being as lightweight as possible.<\/p>\n

Inside<\/h2>\n

The interior has no gauge cluster, but rather a collection of screens. By the left and right corners are the screens for the camera side mirrors. One screen sits at the top of the center console. A screen is used on the race-inspired removable steering wheel and acts as the driver gauge cluster. Dials and switches sit beside the wheel screen to allow for easier changes without driving interruption. The carbon fiber seats are bucket variants, and the first owner is given the choice of both race and conventional seat belts for each seat.<\/p>\n

In total 150 coupes were produced but this example is the even more limited \u2018Spider\u2019 variant, being one of just 85 cars built, making it one of the rarest hypercars produced. Mechanically, the \u2018Spider\u2019 is unchanged from the regular \u2018Valkyrie\u2019 and weighs almost the same but includes the added benefit of a removable hard top. It can achieve a top speed of 217 mph and 205 mph with the roof off.<\/p>\n
