Ferrari has unveiled the 849 Testarossa Spider, the new open-top flagship from Maranello. Replacing the SF90 Spider, this car doesn\u2019t just evolve Ferrari\u2019s hybrid supercar formula \u2014 it elevates it. With 1,050 cv (1,036 hp) and advanced aerodynamics, it is the most powerful Spider ever built by Ferrari.<\/p>\n

The return of the Testarossa name is more than nostalgia. First used in the 1950s on racing Ferraris and made world-famous in 1984 on one of the brand\u2019s most iconic road cars, the name now resurfaces on a machine that blends past and future. It pays homage to history while pushing Ferrari\u2019s hybrid technology into uncharted territory.<\/p>\n

At its heart is a twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8, now good for 830 cv on its own thanks to bigger turbos, reworked internals, and improved cooling. Add to that three electric motors\u2014two driving the front wheels, one at the rear\u2014and the Spider delivers a combined 1,050 cv.<\/p>\n

The hybrid setup brings more than just power. The all-wheel drive system improves traction, while torque vectoring sharpens agility through corners. A 7.45 kWh battery allows up to 25 km of pure-electric driving, yet Ferrari insists weight has been kept in check, giving this Spider the best power-to-weight ratio of any Ferrari drop-top. The 849 Testarossa Spider isn\u2019t only about numbers \u2014 it\u2019s about airflow. Inspired by Ferrari\u2019s 1970s sports prototypes and borrowing cues from the legendary \u201884 Testarossa, the car\u2019s form is both dramatic and functional.<\/p>\n

Twin-tail rear architecture, channelling air to boost downforce and cooling. 415 kg of downforce at 250 km\/h, 25 kg more than the SF90 Spider. Doors shaped as air channels, feeding intercoolers and brakes. A new wind-catcher system for roof-down driving comfort. The retractable hardtop folds away in 14 seconds, even at 45 km\/h, allowing drivers to switch seamlessly between coup\u00e9 and Spider modes.<\/p>\n

Ferrari has refined the driving environment, focusing on ergonomics and emotion. The mechanical red start button returns to the steering wheel, reinforcing Ferrari\u2019s theatre of ignition. A simplified digital HMI integrates hybrid controls, while clients can choose between comfort seats or lightweight carbon shells.<\/p>\n

New trim options like Giallo Siena Alcantara pair with striking exterior paints, including Rosso Fiammante and Giallo Ambra. Every detail is meant to fuse modern luxury with Ferrari\u2019s racing essence.<\/p>\n

For drivers who want maximum performance, the Assetto Fiorano package is available. It cuts 30 kg through carbon fibre and titanium, stiffens the suspension with Multimatic dampers, and adds bespoke Michelin Cup2 tyres.
