When you\u2019re talking about 1,000+ horsepower machines, the numbers alone are enough to make your head spin. A Lamborghini Revuelto with 1,115 hp, a Koenigsegg Jesko Attack<\/a> pushing 1,280 hp, and\u2014perhaps the wild card of the group\u2014a BMW M3 Touring tuned to around 1,000 hp. Three cars, three very different approaches to speed, and only one quarter-mile of tarmac to settle the score.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matt Watson and his team from carwow<\/a> recently lined them up for a showdown to answer the question: how does a $150,000 family estate stack up against a $450,000 hybrid V12 supercar and a $5 million hypercar?<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lamborghini Revuelto<\/a> uses a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors, driving all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Jesko Attack goes the other way\u2014rear-wheel drive only, with its 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering 1,280 hp when running super unleaded. Then comes the tuned BMW M3 Touring<\/a>, packing a fully built 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six, all-wheel drive, and just enough suspension and gearbox upgrades to make it drag-strip ready.<\/span><\/p>\n

From launch, the story was all about traction. The Jesko struggled to put its immense power down on the surface, while the Lamborghini launched cleanly, as expected of a hybrid AWD machine. But the real surprise was the M3 Touring\u2014it hooked up instantly, surged ahead, and crossed the line first with a blistering 9.5-second run. The Revuelto followed at 9.8 seconds, and the Jesko trailed at 9.9 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t all doom and gloom for the Koenigsegg, though. In rolling races, once traction was less of an issue, the Jesko showed its true pace, reeling in the BMW with relentless acceleration. Still, the fact that a tuned estate car not only competed but <\/span>won<\/span><\/em> against two of the most exotic cars in the world is a statement in itself.<\/span><\/p>\n
