Top Gear\u2019s Tom Ford<\/a> just got a first look at the Giamaro Krafla\u2014a wild new hypercar named after an Icelandic volcano and developed not far from Pagani, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. At its heart is a custom 7.0-liter V12 engine with four turbos, capable of producing 2,127 bhp and nearly 1,500 lb-ft of torque.<\/p>\n

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a seven-speed Chima gearbox, which is offered with either paddle shifters or a manual shift, and an 11-speed DSG is in development. Giamaro offers three power \u201ckeys\u201d: a white key for 400\u2013800 bhp, a black key for 1,650 bhp, and a red key that unlocks the full 2,127 bhp.<\/p>\n

Development is led by Loris Bicocchi, the engineer behind the Bugatti EB110<\/a>, Veyron<\/a>, and Chiron<\/a>, lending serious credibility to the project. Built around a 170kg carbon monocoque with aluminum crash structures, the car weighs under 1,500kg\u2014impressive for its output.<\/p>\n

Design cues are inspired by Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Pagani, and the Ford GT, featuring aggressive aero channels, roof scoops, 10-piston calipers, and top-mounted exhausts that feed over an active rear wing. Inside, it\u2019s minimal yet futuristic, with a canopy-like driving position, column-mounted paddles, and a digital dash emphasizing the 9,000rpm redline.<\/p>\n

Only 30 cars will be built, at a cost of around \u20ac2.5 million each, with bespoke tuning tailored to each owner\u2019s preferences\u2014not just in appearance, but also in how the car responds on the road or track. Alongside it, Giamaro is developing the Albor, a lifted, rugged sibling based on the same platform.<\/p>\n
