At first glance, you might say that this is a Ferrari 599XX<\/a>\u2014the screaming, track-only monster built for the world\u2019s most exclusive racing program. But take a closer look, and you\u2019ll notice something remarkable. This isn\u2019t a factory-built XX. It\u2019s the Talos 599XXT\u2014a road-legal transformation of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano<\/a> that blends the ferocity of Ferrari\u2019s most hardcore experiment with the civility of a grand tourer, built by Talos Vehicles from the UK.<\/p>\n

The Talos 599XXT begins life as a standard 599 GTB, Ferrari\u2019s V12-powered GT from the late 2000s. Talos then tears it down to its core, fitting new carbon-fiber bodywork molded directly from genuine 599XX panels\u2014every surface except the roof and doors. These molds alone cost around half a million pounds to produce, since the GTB\u2019s chassis required custom adaptations.<\/p>\n

The result is a car that mirrors the XX\u2019s extreme presence, right down to the towering rear wing and aggressive diffuser, but wrapped around a structure that still welcomes the open road. Inside, the car sheds none of the GTB\u2019s luxury. While carbon fiber dominates the cabin, the seats remain comfortable, with added modern touches like wireless charging and even the option for an integrated iPad screen.<\/p>\n

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12,rebuilt from the ground up and tuned to produce around 660 horsepower\u2014similar to the 599 GTO. The gearbox, a single-clutch semi-automatic unit, has been reprogrammed using the GTO\u2019s mapping, producing faster upshifts and dramatic, crackling downshifts that punctuate every burst of acceleration.<\/p>\n

The sound, however, is pure XX madness. The bespoke exhaust system gives the Talos 599XXT an edge-of-your-seat wail reminiscent of the 599XX\u2019s unfiltered track symphony. Yet, unlike the XX, you can actually drive this one to the south of France without destroying your spine or eardrums.
