Bentley Motors has pulled the covers off the Bentayga X Concept at the iconic FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, revealing its most extreme vision yet for the luxury SUV. Built to explore the limits of Bentayga\u2019s off-road potential, the concept also marks the beginning of a new multi-year partnership between Bentley and FAT International.<\/p>\n

While the Bentayga lineup already spans high-performance (Speed) and ultra-luxury (Extended Wheelbase), the Bentayga X Concept focuses squarely on enhanced off-road capability, without abandoning Bentley\u2019s signature power and presence.<\/p>\n

The Bentayga X Concept is based on the Bentayga Speed, retaining its formidable 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Air suspension and Bentley Dynamic Ride, the brand\u2019s 48-volt active anti-roll system, remain, but the hardware around them has been radically reworked.<\/p>\n

The most obvious changes come in the stance. The concept rides on forged single-piece 22-inch wheels developed with Brixton, wrapped in large-profile off-road tyres. Track width has been increased by 120 mm, while ride height jumps by 55 mm, unlocking significantly more suspension travel and ground clearance. Wheel arches have been pushed 40 mm outward to accommodate the wider setup. The result? A wading depth exceeding 550 mm and ground clearance just shy of 310 mm \u2014 numbers that put the Bentayga X into serious off-road territory.<\/p>\n

The exterior has been kept intentionally purposeful. Roof-mounted storage and four auxiliary spotlights hint at long-range adventure, while the concept\u2019s roof rack even carries a Bambino-size electric go-kart, as used in the FAT Karting League, to demonstrate added cargo capability. With these additions, the overall height stretches to 2.49 metres. At the rear, the Akrapovi\u010d titanium sports exhaust remains a visual and auditory centerpiece, while twin front towing eyes reinforce the concept\u2019s rugged intent.<\/p>\n

The Bentayga X Concept headlines Bentley\u2019s major presence at the FAT Ice Race, an event that blends motorsport, culture, and rare machinery on frozen ground. Bentley\u2019s involvement kicks off a broader collaboration with FAT International, including appearances at the upcoming FAT Ice Race in Big Sky, Montana, and a 24-hour takeover of FAT Mankei in Austria later this year.<\/p>\n

Sharing the spotlight are some of Bentley\u2019s boldest current machines: Travis Pastrana\u2019s uniquely liveried Continental Supersports, fresh from its Dubai debut, the newly announced Continental GTC S, and a global on-ice debut for the Continental GT S coup\u00e9. Also present are a Bentayga Speed and the Speed Six Continuation Series Car Zero from Mulliner.<\/p>\n
