Matt Watson from carwow<\/a> got behind the wheel of the Ferrari SF90 XX for an exciting showdown against one of the rarest and most extreme hypercars in the world, the Koenigsegg Regera.<\/p>\n

The Ferrari SF90 XX<\/a> uses an advanced hybrid setup that pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,030 hp and 804 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and launch control helps deliver strong, controlled starts. The car weighs around 1,700 kg and costs roughly $907,000.<\/p>\n

The Koenigsegg Regera<\/a>, on the other hand, is a powerhouse. Its 5.0-liter V8 running on E85 works with three electric motors to generate up to 1,500 hp and 2,000 Nm of torque. Despite weighing only about 1,590 kg, it sends power exclusively to the rear wheels, making traction off the line more challenging than in the all-wheel-drive Ferrari.<\/p>\n

The Regera\u2019s unique single-speed transmission is designed for maximum speed and reduced weight, which gives the Ferrari an advantage in the initial launch phase. With the Regera valued at around $4 million, the matchup became a clash between Italian precision and Swedish brute force.<\/p>\n

The results showed that outright power isn\u2019t everything in a quarter-mile race. Grip and stability matter just as much. Although the Regera had the advantage on paper, the SF90 XX\u2019s strong launch kept the contest close, highlighting how modern hybrid performance can rival even the most powerful hypercars.<\/p>\n
