Brooks Weisblat, the creator and host of the DragTimes<\/a> YouTube channel, heads to the TX2K event to stage a high-stakes drag race between a powerful Corvette ZR1X<\/a> and a modified Dodge Demon 170. Determined to redeem a previous loss in his rear-wheel-drive ZR1, Weisblat borrows a more advanced ZR1X equipped with added horsepower and all-wheel drive assistance from front-mounted electric motors.<\/p>\n

To maximize performance, the races are scheduled early in the morning when cooler air conditions improve engine output. The Demon 170<\/a>, brought in by a friend, features weight reduction, drag-focused tires, and a transmission tune, though it\u2019s presented as mostly stock. Meanwhile, the Corvette relies on its sophisticated drivetrain and traction advantage.<\/p>\n
