The latest head-to-head test from carwow<\/span><\/span> pits Lamborghini\u2019s newest hybrid contender, the Lamborghini Temerario<\/span><\/span>, against the flagship Lamborghini Revuelto<\/span><\/span> in a series of brutally competitive drag races, rolling acceleration runs, and emergency braking challenges. Hosted by Mat Watson<\/span><\/span>, the comparison offered one of the clearest demonstrations yet of how modern electrified performance is reshaping the supercar hierarchy.<\/p>\n

On paper, the Revuelto<\/a> should have dominated. Lamborghini\u2019s range-topping hybrid packs a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 paired with three electric motors, delivering 1,015 horsepower and 1,060 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n

The Temerario<\/a>, positioned as the brand\u2019s smaller and more accessible model, counters with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 hybrid setup producing 920 horsepower and 730 Nm. Yet the real-world results told a far more complicated story.<\/p>\n

From the very first standing quarter-mile launch, the Temerario shocked everyone by matching\u2014and in several runs edging past\u2014the heavier V12 flagship. Despite Lamborghini officially quoting a slower 0\u201360 mph figure for the Temerario, repeated launches revealed near-identical off-the-line performance. Both cars ultimately recorded blistering 9.9-second quarter-mile passes, with the Temerario narrowly winning the decisive photo finish.<\/p>\n

The rolling races highlighted the contrasting personalities of both machines. The Revuelto\u2019s immense torque and electrified V12 thrust allowed it to surge ahead initially, but the Temerario\u2019s lighter curb weight, rapid turbocharged response, and high-revving hybrid calibration repeatedly reeled the flagship back in at higher speeds. In the braking test, the lighter Temerario again demonstrated a measurable advantage.<\/p>\n
