A remarkably preserved 2010 Lamborghini Murci\u00e9lago LP 670-4 SV will cross the block at RM Sotheby\u2019s Monterey Auction<\/a> on August 15 with an estimated value of up\u00a0to $2.25 million. Representing one of the most elusive examples of Lamborghini\u2019s celebrated Super Veloce flagship, the car is making its first-ever public appearance after remaining in single ownership since new.<\/p>\n

Introduced as the ultimate evolution of the Murci\u00e9lago<\/a>, the LP 670-4 SV debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and elevated Lamborghini\u2019s V12 flagship to new performance heights. Engineers reduced weight by approximately 220 pounds through extensive carbon-fiber construction and a lighter exhaust system, while revisions to the intake and engine timing increased the output of the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 to 670 horsepower. Combined with a six-speed automated manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and carbon-ceramic brakes, the SV delivered blistering performance, sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in roughly three seconds before reaching a top speed of 212 mph.<\/p>\n
