The 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S with MT Package adds a six-speed manual, rear-wheel steering and a host of lightweight performance upgrades.<\/h3>\n

Porsche is bringing three pedals back to the 911 Carrera S in North America. Responding to strong customer demand, the automaker has introduced the 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S with MT Package, giving the 992.2-generation Carrera S a six-speed manual transmission for the first time.<\/p>\n

Available exclusively in North America and offered as both a Coupe and Cabriolet, the new model puts driver engagement ahead of outright acceleration. It builds on the formula of the Carrera T, combining a manual gearbox with a higher level of standard equipment and the more powerful Carrera S powertrain.<\/p>\n

“While some brands are abandoning the manual, we are proud to continue offering three pedals in a range of products that speaks to different use cases,”<\/em> said Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. “For the drivers who want it there really is no substitute.”<\/em><\/p>\n

More than just a manual gearbox<\/h3>\n

The Carrera S with MT Package is exclusively rear-wheel drive and comes with a substantial list of performance-focused upgrades as standard. These include rear-axle steering, PASM Sport suspension with a 10-mm lower ride height, Sport Chrono Package and unique exhaust tuning. A walnut shift knob provides a traditional touch, while center-lock wheels make their debut on the Carrera S. They reduce unsprung weight by more than 17 pounds compared with the standard Carrera S wheels.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The package also includes four-way Sport Seats Plus, titanium exhaust outlets with black trim, and a SportDesign front fascia. A red \u201cS\u201d badge at the rear adds another visual distinction requested by North American enthusiasts. For buyers seeking even more weight reduction and lateral support, Porsche offers 18-way Sport Seats Plus and carbon-fiber Folding Lightweight Bucket Seats as options.<\/p>\n

473 HP and a six-speed manual<\/h3>\n

Power comes from the Carrera S’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six, producing 473 hp. With a curb weight of just 3,327 pounds, the Carrera S Coupe with MT Package weighs only 11 pounds more than the 911 Carrera T Coupe.<\/p>\n

Rather than chasing the quickest possible acceleration, Porsche has engineered the car around balance and driver involvement. The combination of rear-wheel drive, a manual transmission, rear-axle steering and the Sport suspension is aimed squarely at winding back roads and enthusiastic driving.<\/p>\n

Braking performance comes from 408-mm front and 380-mm rear cast-iron discs, with six-piston fixed calipers up front and four-piston units at the rear. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes remain available as an option, as do carbon-fiber bucket seats for customers looking to further reduce weight.<\/p>\n

Extensive personalization<\/h3>\n

Despite its enthusiast-focused specification, the Carrera S with MT Package retains the extensive customization options available throughout the 911 range. Buyers can choose from 17 exterior colors, with Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus also available subject to availability. More than 70 leather interior configurations provide further opportunities for personalization.<\/p>\n

An optional exterior package adds HD-Matrix Design headlights with black housings and white rings, Ceramica-finished wheels, red \u201cS\u201d lettering and white PORSCHE rear lettering. Body-color lower mirror housings and special puddle lights projecting the six-speed shift pattern complete the package.<\/p>\n

Inside, an optional package brings Plaid Sport-Tex seat centers with Chalk stripes, matching seat belts and stitching, Ceramica interior trim and black brushed-aluminum accents. The Sport Chrono clock receives a white accent ring, while the door-sill guards feature brushed black aluminum.<\/p>\n

Seven manual 911s in North America<\/h3>\n

The new Carrera S with MT Package expands Porsche’s North American manual-transmission lineup to seven 911 variants. At the more accessible end of the range are the 911 Carrera T Coupe and Cabriolet, while the 911 GT3, GT3 Touring and GT3 S\/C sit at the opposite end, pairing a manual gearbox with Porsche’s most motorsport-focused engines and chassis. The Carrera S with MT Package occupies an appealing middle ground: more powerful and better equipped than the Carrera T, but focused on the analog driving experience rather than the outright performance of the GT3.<\/p>\n

Orders for the 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S with MT Package are now open through Porsche dealers in North America. Pricing starts at $167,100 for the Coupe and $181,000 for the Cabriolet, excluding a $2,350 delivery, processing and handling fee. Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of 2026.
