Broad Arrow Auctions is preparing to bring two very different but equally fascinating shooting brakes to Europe this fall, with a one-off Ferrari 599-based Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage and a unique Aston Martin Lagonda Series 3 Shooting Brake set to cross the auction block in Belgium and Switzerland.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The two cars represent radically different interpretations of the shooting brake concept. One is a newly created piece of modern coachbuilding based on a Ferrari V12 grand tourer, while the other transforms one of the most dramatic luxury sedans of the 1980s into a highly unusual and genuinely unique estate car.<\/p>\n

One-Off Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage heads to Zoute<\/h3>\n

The headline attraction is undoubtedly the 2026 Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage, created by Dutch designer and coachbuilder Niels van Roij Design.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Revealed in July 2026, the spectacular one-off pays tribute to the famous 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB\/4 Daytona Shooting Brake commissioned through Chinetti Motors. For the modern interpretation, Niels van Roij Design started with a 2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, retaining its naturally aspirated V12 while dramatically reworking almost every other aspect of the car.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Finished in black over a cognac leather interior, the Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage combines classic inspiration with modern coachbuilding techniques. Its body features a completely redesigned front end incorporating 3D-printed carbon fiber elements, while the rear of the car has been extensively reshaped to create the distinctive shooting brake profile.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The transformation continues at the rear with a deep glass area, sculpted bodywork and a bespoke diffuser surrounding unusual double-barrel exhaust outlets. Perhaps the most dramatic detail, however, is the electrically operated butterfly-style rear doors, which curve around the handcrafted luggage compartment. They incorporate flexible Plexiglas and complex hand-machined hinges.<\/p>\n

According to Broad Arrow, the project required more than 15,000 hours of design, engineering and craftsmanship to complete. The one-off Ferrari-based creation showed 43,802 kilometers at the time of cataloguing and will be offered with an estimate of \u20ac450,000 to \u20ac650,000.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It will cross the block during the Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction on October 9, 2026, at Approach Golf in Knokke-Heist, Belgium. The sale is being held in collaboration with Zoute Grand Prix Car Week and is expected to feature approximately 70 collector cars.<\/p>\n

A unique Aston Martin Lagonda Shooting Brake<\/h3>\n

Broad Arrow’s second shooting brake offering could hardly be more different. Heading to The Z\u00fcrich Auction is a unique 1987 Aston Martin Lagonda Series 3 Shooting Brake, converted by Switzerland’s Roos Engineering Ltd.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Aston Martin Lagonda was already one of the most visually striking luxury cars of its era, thanks to its unmistakable wedge-shaped body and futuristic interior. This particular Series 3 is one of just 76 examples produced and, according to Broad Arrow, the only example officially approved by Aston Martin for conversion into a shooting brake.<\/p>\n

The car was acquired in 1996 and subsequently sent to Roos Engineering in Switzerland for the extensive transformation, which was completed in 2000. Factory-supplied components were used during the project, while the mechanical systems also received significant attention.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Naturally, the most significant changes were made to the body. The windows and extended rear luggage compartment were custom-built specifically for the car, while the interior was retrimmed in Connolly leather and Alcantara. Even the rear bumper was revised, with modified parking and signal lights ensuring they remain visible when the tailgate is open.<\/p>\n

The result is one of the rarest and most distinctive versions of the Lagonda ever created, combining the original car’s unmistakable British character with the precision of Swiss craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

The unique Lagonda Shooting Brake will be offered without reserve at The Z\u00fcrich Auction on November 7, 2026, with a pre-sale estimate of CHF 250,000 to CHF 350,000. The sale will return to the Dolder Grand as the official auction partner of Auto Z\u00fcrich and is expected to feature approximately 60 collector cars.<\/p>\n
