The sea floor isnt always exposed, it has water on top of it.

I know, I think it is pretty impossible for so much water to be displaced for you to actually be able to see the sea floor, but thats just what it said in another thread here.
  2. Aftermath - Almost 60,000 Dead (Updated)

no way in hell it did that.

That kind of thing sounds like that stupid Day after tomorrow movie.
  3. Aftermath - Almost 60,000 Dead (Updated)

oh right, the sea floor being exposed to open air. i see what you mean now. i have no idea i would be leaning towards no though.
  4. Aftermath - Almost 60,000 Dead (Updated)

apparently that can happen, no quite in the time frame in the movie and minus the political crap. If the water circulatory systems shut down due to rises or drops in sea temperature the effects could very well be like the ones in the movie
  5. Aftermath - Almost 60,000 Dead (Updated)

Id go into a huge rant about why that movie is 100% science fiction, but I dont want to disrespect this thread so if you want to arhgue it, open a new htread.

from the graphs and whatnot ive seen, id imagine he would be, but then again with 32XXX thousand dead on the northern island alone, i could see them not saying much about a few thou dead on the southern one.

What was the largest natural disaster in history? Is this at the top?
  22. Asia Aftermath - 100,000 Dead (Updated)

This is undoubtedly the biggest natural disaster in modern times.

I think the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986, if we exclude wars, was the biggest man-made disaster ever. Over 100,000 people dead from radiation and cancer.

By the way, Y2K - what was hailed as having the potential of being the biggest man-made disaster in human history was eventually the biggest flop in human history. I was amused.

This just keeps getting worse and worse.....I bet we could take all the countries of each person on this site and find at least one citizen of their dead....
