vw doesn't deserve to own lambo

  2. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

it is still the same (parent) company headed under Volkswagen AG, but the Audi and VW brands will have diff management, design, and engineering, marking the end of platform sharing between the two. This will be better in my opinion as far as creating a more differentiated company where not all the cars feel and look the same (chrysler). i honestly think its the best deal, but i dont understand separating Bugatti and Lambo into "conservative" and "sporting" groups, respectively. the (bugatti) veyron v/16 or whatever its called does not seem conservative at all boasting 987 american spec horsepower and a sub-250 mph top speed. but its all for the best, and kudos to VW for taking a leap of faith.<!-- Signature -->

  4. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

Vokswagen AG owns both Audi and VW.

Audi and VW hasn't split up, they've reorganised the structure of the company, so that they have a "Coservative group" consisting of VW, Skoda and Bentley, and a "Agressive group" consisting of "Audi, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Seat".
I think this is the right way to go, as VW's platform sharing has left us with a lot of too similar cars, even if it's cost efficient...

Audi owns Lamborghini, and neither of these companies now have any relationship with Porsche, except that VW has cooperated with Porsche in the development of the VW Colorado/ Porsche Cayenne.

BTW, you should read the article you are referring to, before you argue on behalf of it... it said at the bottom that Volkswagen Ag still owns all the companies...

  5. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

lamborghini is owned by VW which i hate because of there crapy looking cars but anyway , i think the best company that owned lamborghini was the gaint crysler , because that is when they came out with the king (DIABLO) and when they did they were afraid that people are not gonna like it after the lamb's last legend countach, because it was the last car created by lamborghini before it was sold, but DIABLO was a real success , to me it is the best monster running on the road overall , handling , gas milage , tras and engines , so give the new one a chance to prove it self in the market
and every thing after a legend is stupid at the begining . <!-- Signature -->

  6. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

Canto: nice, but from what i saw of the spy shoots, its was basically a diablo with new nose and huge rear scoops.

VW and Audi have split moron, or are in the process of doing so.

What Audi has brought to Lamborghini is financial stability nd german engineering quality. Many ferrari's and lambo's of decades past are now little piles of dust because the italians had not heard of galvanising the bodywork. So they rusted away to nothing.

VW and Audi aren't killing Lambo, Everyoody that was working for them is still there now, there has been no major change to the decision making process and it is still in Italy, What more to you want?

Fiat cannot bring Lamnoo back to Italy because Fiat owns Ferrari and you cannot have two companies competing against each other within a larger parent company. This is a lesson that VAG is about to learn with the bugatti and Lambo. Under the proposed split, Bugatti goes to VW and Lambo goes to Audi.

Would you rather buy an audi (RS4) or a VW (lupo)??

  7. with great geometrical design. The new audified Murc lost most of the original Italy-tatse design. The Murcielago is a very clean design, but I'd prefer the shocking Diablo or Countach anyway...

  8. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

I really think that VW is killing the lamborghini, i mean they dont deserve to own a company like Lambo.

  9. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

VW is the company which produced Beetle... the peoples car... now they own Lambo.... Lambos new designs and concepts dont seem to be all that radical and Italian-like anymore... <!-- Signature -->

  10. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

Fiat should bring lambo back to italy

  11. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

I agree. Have you guys seen the pictures of the new Diablo that was never built? The car that was suppose to be the Murceilago? It was called the L147 Canto. THAT was an awesom design.

But VW AG totally redesigned it and came up with this Murcielago SH!+.

BTW, VW and Audi was officially splitted into 2 companies just a few days ago. Now Lambo belongs under Audi, not VW.

  12. VW is improving Lambo guys!!!

VW is the greatest brand ever....They own so much companies and many of these comapnies get ideas from VW. Have you guys seen the concept D1 thats suppose to compete with mercs S class?? that kicks ass!!!
and the 4WD colorado thats gonna take on the M class and the bmw x5.

And the W12 supercar?? I think VW is improving on their designs and are no longer PEOPLES CAR. The CANTO concept sux!! the Air vent thing ont eh side is so HUGE and it just looks ugly, and all thanx to VW who saved LAmbos reputation by releasing the Miserlago (however u spell it)....some of you may think its ugly but at least its betetr than the CANTO which was previously designed by Lambo....

    uhhm...
cmon... remember that Lamborghini Automobili used to be property of Proton... an automaker from New Zealand that sold rebadged Toyota's in their home market, then... its surprising how the Diablo didn't look Asian-like at all... <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

I think that the Lamborghini tradition will be independent of whom the parent owner of the company is, the VW-Lamborghini relationship is much like Fiat-Ferrari... you don't see any Fiat parts in a Ferrari and you aint going to see VW's using something of a Beetle's parts bin in a Murcielago or anything else in the future.

About design... you guys seem to love the Canto but ... you have to admit that the Murcielago is an evolution of the Diablo-sdesign language, and it still looks as Italian as Lambo's can get, but now they have German refinement to back up its power and looks<!-- Signature -->

YEAH, man. I 2 agree the Canto looks much more shocking than the Murc anyway. It is no doubt a real revolution design from the Murc, it's sleek and beautiful, BTW I've got all 1/18 Murc from Autoart in all color variations, black, M.Yellow, M.Orange, fantastic!!!
But I dun agree ppl who said the case that Fiat owns Ferrari is similar to the case that Audi(VW) owns the Lambo. In fact the whole heritage or tradition of Ferrari is something that you can never ever change, include the design.
But you guys can see the new Murc is really a "audified" look? Am I right? I believe most ppl own a Lambo b/c they want a "shocking" piece of Italy-design.
So, shocking and aggressive design is what a Lambo should be inherited
    .
BUT ANYWAY, THE MURC IS STILL A GREAT DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE SUPERCAR!!!

  16. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

Why do you compare VWs bottom of the range car with Audi's top of teh range car for??? Why dont you compare VWs concept D1 with AUdi A8??
also VW has the supercar w12, what does Audi have?? and vw has the Colorado 4WD, what does audi have?. I dont have anything against audi, infact i'm a fan of audi, but you shouldnt compare LUPO with RS4. I dont think these 2 companies are spilting up.

  17. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

    The Canto kicked ass..
    the Murcielago rules too...
they are both kick ass designs...
but this is a Diablo GT Forum..
    So only 83 exist eh?
I wonder how many are actually still around, (for those of you who have subscr. to duPont Registry will note that in the Sept/01 issue, there was a wrecked GT shown... Too bad..<!-- Signature -->

  18. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

yes that is not a real lambo
and the bugatti is not good too
VW is a shit i think!!!

  19. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

What u mean VW doesnt deserve to own lambo?? It doesnt matter who owns who as long as they have the money....If you think of it that way, FIAT does not deserve to own Ferrari, and FORD does not deserve to own Jaguar and Aston Martin, Chrysler does not deserve to own Benz.

VW is the all time legnedary brand thats been going on for ages, and hense they are well known and has a good foundation. VW is NOT shit, they cannot suddenly jump from people movers to extreme luxury in a short time!!! However signs of them improving are the VW Golf, VW Bora, VW PAssat, and later the Concept D1, Colorado, W12 supercar!!

Mind u that audi's design come also from VW, and if u reckon RS4 and the S series is shit then what can i say.

Actually VW's designs has nothing to do with Diablo, they however has something to do with new designs like the Micielago. And Micielago is WAY better than the CANTO!!! Dont you think CANTO is just a DIABLO with makeup with bigger air scoops at the back?? Lambo is running out of ideas and thats when VW is there to help. And they are HELPING!!

  20. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

Chrysler does not deserver to own Benz, that's why it's Benz who owns Chrysler.

But other than that, I think you are right, whoever have money can own things. But whether it's a good thing or not is another question. Jaguar is criticized of using Ford quality plastic parts. Audi scrapped the the Canto and designed this boring Murc. But they at least can keep a company alive.

PS-VW doesn't not own Lambo, Audi does. VW doesn't not own Audi, the officially splitted up into 2 independent companies. Ppl who didn't know this should not be talking here.

  21. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...

better the the shit that comming for acura and toyota

  22. Re: Audi, maybe VW is killing the Lambo...
