but i'm surprised kit car makers haven't been falling over themselves to make a replica of this, this is the best design to come out of the states in a long time, could almost be forgiven for being a viper lol

  6. What the hell is the deal with people dissing american cars. I mean damn! Exotics arent the best cars. I know one american car that could wip a ferrari and it did! Its called the Ford GT40 (the ferrari slayer). People need to stop dissing american cars.

  8. Stop it with this Nissan Shit. The company sucks, and how does everybody own a crappy skyline? What's in my garage? A 2002 Pontiac Firebird, Ram Air, supertuned V-8 Corvette engine with 465 hp, 0-60 in 4.4 sec. , yes 4.4 sec. Also a Mustang GT 2001 I'm not too proud of it though, 0-60 in 5.3. God Bless America.

  10. Only if Nissan would make a F***ing big engine. LONG LIVE THE VIPER GTS-R

  11. Does anyone know when this is going for sale? i tried to buy one but they are only selling racing vipers and you need a team and a track, if you can tell me thanks

You're kidding, right? 500 horsepower out of an 8 liter V10? Granted, 500 BHP and 500 lb-ft of torque is a lot, but it's not even remotely near 100 horsepower per liter, which is the accepted standard of monster speed-demon cars.

With an engine that size, and that many cylinders, it should be getting *at least* 700 brake horsepower and under a grand in torque, stock.

id like to have this in my garage

this car is one of the most brilliantly designed car of any iv seen, everything about it takes every aspect one step beyond just good. You have a V10 8L Engine pushing out horsepower not in the 3's....or4's......but yes 500BHP! as well as your returning old fashioned sidepipes and reverse opening hood. Lets not forget the fact that your sitting of 20's.

  15. SmallCock2000 - Perhaps you didn't read my post. 500 BHP is hardly impressive for a 8 liter V10. To be even close to RESPECTABLE it should be between 7 and 800 horspower, and a lot more than 500 lb-ft of torque. Is the car fast? Yes, but that doesn't matter when it has the worst engineering this side of a Ford Mustang.

One other thing about this car: Why no ABS? I can understand if you want that "bare-bones" stripped-down car feel, but at least install the ABS system at the factory, and put in a switch so you can turn it off. the Viper's lack of ABS is an object of constant ridicule, with people I know.

  16. I appreciate the effort gone into the design and all the nice touches. However I must agree with the belief that there is not enough power. I understand 500bhp is 5 times more power than piece of crap, but it still isnt a lot from an 8000cc V10! I hate to say it but it is underpower. It should be right up there with 750-800bhp. Look at other V10's. They s#%$ all over the Viper for power to weight.

  17. People's got problems here.....Nissan is an amazing comapany and so is Dodge but lets face it look at almost all the rating for top speed, bhp , and price, and all the otha shit......Domestic cars kill everything.....but everyone has to agree that Europeans cars and Japanese cars murder in style......so #$%# off about mixing internationals and Domestics

Im gonna have to agree with you on that one; I personaly dont really like American cars, thats just my opinion, but American cars have big engines for a reason: more power, less stress. A lot of Japanese cars have 100hp/l or more because their engines are strong enough to handle the stress. If you're talking about "gas guzzlers", a turbocharged V6/I6 wastes as much gas as an American "big block".

  22. nissans got torque.... mine a GT-R 470 ftlb torque... so yeh if you stuck a skyline motor in a viper yes it would go faster, sorry americans the pun had some truth.

if they wanted im know they could get more power, but there really is no point, its hellza fast, and gives people oportunities to tweak their car if they want more power... workin on it is half the fun

  24. some guy in here says who cares about hp/L. this person is an idiot. hp/L is a direct measurement of how efficient an engine is. if they upgraded the internals and/or valvetrain this could make that kind of power.

by the same token the person defends the viper and says that it SHOULDN"T make 700-800 horses, or did i hear wrong, cuz it looks like that's what he's saying. looks like this guy isn't a fan of TNT king snake, because apparently that puts the engine under too much stress. apparently this is what the guy is saying. so how about the hennessey viper, must suck cuz it makes 800 hp and that puts too much stress on the engine huh. how about the stryker viper. that must suck too huh. god your such an imbecile you seem to think that less horsepower out of a big engine is good or something.

i love this car, but i agree with it being underpowered. look at the TVR Speed 12. British car that has a 7.7 L engine rated at 800horses. see that's what the viper COULD be. i dont think anyone regardless of what car faction you are in could agree that more horsepower is a good thing.

the guy also complained about nsx's? nsx's are handbuilt man and focuses much more on suspension. there's more to driving than straight line acceleration. i bet it could outhandle a stock viper. i guarantee you this.

real car guys like all sorts of cars.

  25. U guys have to know 1 thing about this car, yes i know this car is sexy but why would a American car look sexy? because half of this car is make by a Jap(JAPANESE). So putting a nissan Engine in is Acceptable. BECAUSE this AIN'T NO AMERICAN MUSCLE NO MORE HAHAHA is so funny that the Best American car is make by a Japanese dude. haha
