V-6?¿,5-Speed?¿,220 HP?¿ What was Dodge thinking?

They were thinking Road Worthy, not Road Demon. Its not necessarily the performance factor that car makers go for--while that's all well and good, it isn't everything. What a lot of designers are doing these days is making the car LOOK good, AS WELL as perform great. Don't go dissing Dodge just because the Viper is ten times better than this thing. Think of the Copperhead as a more tame younger brother to it. Besides, I'm beginning to think that the almighty Viper is getting played out...this would be a great alternate set o' wheels for it.
P.S.: another thing--in the Animal kingdom, The Copperhead snake and The Viper are quite different, with the Viper being a more vicious predator, and the Copperhead being a little more bearable. Both poisonous, mind you, but the C'head's venom isn't so potent as the Viper's.
And that's all I have to say about that.
    Have a nice day.
    The Boss Rules.
(although this thing is a strong competitor...)

Nicely said. It is obvious that Dodge had a different plan for this car...some seem to be overlooking that. Not to mention that 220 hp from a NA 6 cylinder is still respectable by todays standards...in 1997 it was HIGHLY respectable. Even if you dislike this car you still have to give a hand to Dodge's attempt at a new direction.
