#2 is similar to the chrome 17" GT Cruiser wheel... http://www.cu-autosolution.com/tradesWizard/images/PT_Cruiser.JPG But a little better proportioned and crisper.
#2 by quite a lot. If you like them more now, you'll probably hate yourself for not getting them later, if you find out that the first ones didn't look quite that nice on the car, regardless of the price difference. What is your next mod? New bumpers? I'd like to see that <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>
Uhhh, can I get wheel diameter, width, and weights before choosing? Obviously you're just concerned with looks. And if that's the case, I wouldn't go with either unless you put a gun to my head. I'd most certainly go with a panasport wheel. Either their FS 16" , C8FE 16" , C5RE 17" (the most like the picture of number two, get them titanium colored if you'd like), or my personal favorite for your car, the C5CR 16". http://www.panasport.com/street.html http://www.panasport.com/colors.html
As much as i lov epanasports on sports cars, they would look extremely out of place on a PT. It's not a sports car, and a few lbs of weight either way is simply not going to matter. the 5 spokes are much more appropriate to the style.
Damnit, the pictures did not upload. If you'd have checked the link, you'd see there are two 5 spoke wheels I pointed out. These should be the pictures: (Also, check the color link for colors. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.) Edit: You can't tell me the 3rd wheel would look out of place on your PT.
Call Panasport, and get the number to the dealer closest to you. http://www.panasport.com/c5cr.html Phone: 310-373-0071 (Pacific Standard Time)
Ballpark? I don't call these places any more. It's such a chore to get pricing info out of people anymore. I just want a quote, and they're trying to ring up the order and get my shipping address and all this other stuff. If they're not interested in giving me the info I need to determine whether or not I want to buy them, then I already know that I don't want to buy them.
True, the C5RE looiks similar to the American racing Torq Thrusts, and are virtually identical to the polished ones he posted to start with. I prefer the polished ones on the PT, however. Can't imagine that the Panas would be cheap...
(sigh) American Racing's Torq Thrusts have GOT to be the most popular aftermarket wheel ever. They end up on EVERYTHING. Every C3 with 17" wheels has Torq Thrusts on them. Kinda boring after you've seen them a million times.
It's not so much the manufacturers that I have issues with. It's the lot that are going to sell me the wheels. They're the ones I don't care to talk with. Anyhow, I'm in Orlando if you think you can get a price out of them.
You can get the Panasports in Titanium, which looks very similar to the polished chrome. http://www.panasport.com/colors.html
No but all the others would. #3 is almost exactly like the one in the Poll exept painted. BTW they are 17x7, 5x100 bolt pattern, 40 Offset, w/ 225/45HR17 90H Kumho ECSTA 711 High Performance Tires
Check out my website. http://2006-ptcruiser.tripod.com Eibach Lowering Springs are next on the list after the wheels/tires.
I never really liked the PT that much, but I must admit that at least as far as PTs go, yours looks really good. So good work. Keep it up.
