Yeah I really think they should bring it here to NA. Mitsubishi needs some competition for the civic, rsx, celica... And the FTO beats the SH!T out of all of them!<!-- Signature -->

yeah, none of the cars you listed have a chance against a FTO and it's about the same price as a Celica<!-- Signature -->

Here in the UK, it has become available, in both Grey Import and Official Import form.

Having owned one for the last 2 1/2 years, I can tell you this car is not crap! Apart from regular servicing and modifications, I've not had to spend a single penny on this car. The only thing that it has going against it, is the lack of after market modifications available for it. Which is slowly changing!

For more information on true performance figures etc. visit the following sites:

    www.mitsubishi-fto.org & www.mivec.co.uk

They are run by fellow owners, and the figures have been proven on rolling roads and track days.

It is a nice car and its kind of bad that it hasn't come to the US but I think I know why. You see a lot of cars do not meet saftey regulations of the US and the companys don't want to hassle with spending all of that money so they just decide to let it not reaach the US

We should get this in the US. but you can get altezza's here, they are just called IS-300s. i think it is the same thing, at least it looks just like it. tell me if i'm wrong

  19. Re: why don't they sell it in the U.S.?

There's two different types of altezza's in japan. The is200 and the is300. They just have different engines though. The is200 has the 2.0 liter 3sge and the is300 has the 3.0 liter 2jzge. Of course we get the is300 here in the states, but it would be nice if we got the is200 also. It would most likely be around the price of the rsx and would most likely destroy anything below or equal to it. Remember, it's the 4th gen 3sge, used in the ss3 celica(not offered here). It's naturally aspirated and gets like 210 hp in stock form. Not to mention it's RWD. Kick ass. Anyway, the FTO's just look cool. I think they're way underpowered though. Mitsu could atleast get a few more horses outta of that v6. I mean, they're NA 3.0 liter dohc v6 3000gt gets about 220hp, and that's without the MIVEC technology. Maybe if it had more hp, they would have given it a six-speed. I think it's their attempt at making a NA high revver. It still looks sweet though. Much better than the eclipse.

  21. Re: why don't they sell it in the U.S.?

It's very simple: Supply and Demand. The RSX is a great car, but it's sales in the U.S. are less than spectacular. There is a greater demand for Accords, Tauruses, Camries (is that the plural version?), and Windstars. So they bring the FTO to the U.S. So what. How many of you can honestly say you will buy it, new, not used? Case and point.<!-- Signature -->

  25. Re: why don't they sell it in the U.S.?

but only 197 outta a V6, the RSX gets 200 out of a I4 if i am not mistaken.
