ZR1 new posts 7:22.4 ring time

Back at the Nürburgring, the hot Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 has just ripped four seconds off its claimed 7:26 lap. The new time, with Jan Magnussen at the wheel, is a claimed 7:22.4 for the full 12.93-mile loop. While the number is pretty bloody fast, it is still .3 seconds off the time earned by the Dodge Viper ACR (ouch, those three tenths really have to hurt!). We take these lap times with a grain of salt, as we've yet to see everyone on the 73-turn course under the same conditions, and with officially certified timing equipment. Again, so you don't have to Google the competition's best-claimed Ring times yourself, here they are: Porsche GT2 - 7:32, Nissan GT-R - 7:29, Corvette ZR1 - 7:22.4 and the Dodge Viper ACR - 7:22.1.

  2. RINGER! lemme see the tires and mod list

I want to see an Enzo get tested there again
  4. FAKE! car had better drivers, was running with everything turned off thats not allowed to be, had different aero, ran race fuel, had 750 hp and had different suspension
  5. obviously slower than the ACR!
  6. just cause nissan cheats doesnt mean everyone does too.

    zr1 ftw
  7. also lol @ the gtr getting its ass kicked left and right by the zr1/acr
  9. LOL they're obviously cheating. No video, no pictures, no nothing. Just a "claimed" time. Even an autistic kid can write anything, hey guyz the ZR1 did 6:55 in the Ring LOL, Jan Magnussen lol
  10. If you believe Porsche's claims about the GT-R, and look at the lap time difference in the recent comparos, then you'd have to conclude the ZR1 was a ringer too.
  11. thats pretty lame gt-r fans claming the zr1 cheated cause the gt-r did, just lame
  12. Have any proof the GT-R cheated? No? Now who's lame?
  13. This was posted on a Vette forum:
"it isn't true. Just received confirmation from a well-placed source on the Corvette program. Ring season has ended and the Corvette team has not been back there since Mero's run."
  14. Yea, I thought testing on the ring was over also.

    I call BS.
  15. GM cant afford to bring a ZR1 to the ring right now anyways
  16. they can't even afford the petrol for a lap of the ring
  17. any proof that nissan didnt cheat, huh
  18. What are you? CorollaRacer's 25th account?
  19. no i just find it abit hard to believe that a jap sports car beets an american super car around the track
  20. wow
  21. I'm still curious on how Nissan cheats, i cant really understand how, Porsche's claims about tires were shot down pretty quick
  22. dont get me wrong the gt-r looks nice but it cant be faster than a corvette super car
