1932 Chrysler CL Imperial

In 1932 Chrysler updated their series CG Imperial into the series CL. This flagship model received numerous styling upgrades but kept the conventional straight-8 engine and solid-axle suspention.

Distinct to the 1932 series was a new 'de Sakhnoffsky' false hood that extended all the way to base of the front windshield. The hood also featured sliding doors instead of the louvres used just a year earlier.

Like the CG, most Imperial received custom coachwork from LeBaron Carrossiers who produced some of the best American bodies for CL.

With a limited market, the Cl was only sold in 1932 and 1933 with production reaching about 220 cars.
