One of the most extreme road-going hypercars ever created, this 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider will cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction next month with an estimated value of $3.75 million to $4.25 million. Chassis No. 49 of only 85 Valkyrie Spiders built, the car remains in single ownership and has covered just 85 miles since new, making it one of the finest examples available.
Developed through Aston Martin’s groundbreaking collaboration with Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies, the Valkyrie Spider was engineered to blur the line between Formula 1 technology and road-legal performance. Every component was purpose-built around minimizing weight and maximizing aerodynamic efficiency. Its carbon-fiber monocoque contains virtually no steel, while obsessive engineering details—from an ultra-lightweight Aston Martin emblem to one of the smallest production brake lights ever fitted—help achieve a dry weight of just under 2,800 pounds.
Power comes from the spectacular 6.5-liter naturally aspirated Cosworth V-12, paired with a Rimac-assisted hybrid system. The V-12 alone generates 1,000 horsepower and revs to an astonishing 11,100 rpm, while the electric motor boosts total output to 1,140 horsepower. Delivered through a rear-mounted sequential single-clutch transmission, the hybrid drivetrain produces 664 lb-ft of torque, launching the Valkyrie Spider from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 2.5 seconds before exceeding 215 mph. Advanced active aerodynamics and Venturi tunnels beneath the chassis generate up to 2,425 pounds of downforce, giving the Valkyrie exceptional track capability while maintaining its dramatic road-car design.
This example was delivered to its original U.S. owner in 2025 after being invoiced in September 2024. It carries approximately £255,000 in factory options, including an Alumite Silver exterior finished with Speed Red graphics commissioned through Aston Martin Q, a full Inconel exhaust, gloss black magnesium wheels, gloss exposed carbon-fiber exterior trim, red brake calipers, and extensive paint protection film. Inside, the cabin features exposed twill carbon fiber, Onyx Black leather seat inserts accented by Spicy Red stitching, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
Because the vehicle entered the United States under the federal “Show or Display” exemption, ownership transfers require prior approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and annual road use is limited to 2,500 miles until the car reaches 25 years of age.
