2010 Bugatti Veyron ‘Nocturne’ Hits the Auction Block

One of only five Veyron Nocturnes produced

The Veyron launched from 0โ€“62 mph in 2.46 seconds and reached just under 254 mph, powered by a mid-mounted, quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its full-time Haldex all-wheel drive gave it remarkable stability at extreme speeds. Braking performance matched its acceleration, with carbon-ceramic discs and multi-piston calipers front and rear. Michelin developed bespoke Pilot Sport PS2 PAX run-flat tires for its 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.

Three drive modes controlled ride height and aerodynamics: Normal at 4.9 inches, Handling at 3.15 inches with an active rear spoiler, and a key-activated High-Speed mode that dropped the car to roughly 2.6 inches and adjusted the wing for maximum stability. Supporting systems included 10 radiators designed for sustained high-load operation.

In 2009, Bugatti marked its Centenary and the significance of the Middle East market with three region-specific models: the Veyron Sang dโ€™Argent, the Grand Sport Soleil de Nuit, and the Veyron Nocturne, the latter limited to just five cars. These editions were created exclusively for Middle Eastern clients and long-standing partners.

The Veyron Nocturne introduced a striking split between polished aluminium surfaces and deep black body panels, giving the car a longer, more dramatic profile. Bugatti used galvanised side window frames for the first time, extending the polished upper body line toward the rear. A polished aluminium hood and bespoke polished wheels reinforced the carโ€™s distinctive look. Inside, the Nocturne featured a black nano-coated magnesium dashboard and a centre console finished in galvanised platinum, blending modern minimalism with high-end craftsmanship.

Set to be offered at RM Sothebyโ€™s upcoming Abu Dhabi auction this Friday, this example was delivered new in the Middle East and shows just 4,219 km. Estimated to fetch up to $2.5 million, it remains protected by full paint-protection film and includes its accessoriesโ€”car cover, speed key, charger, and booksโ€”along with a recent June 2025 service performed by Bugatti Dubai.
