2020 Bugatti Chiron Sport Heads to Broad Arrow Auctions

At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled the Chiron Sport, the first performance-focused evolution of the Chiron. Designed for sharper handling and driver engagement, it is nearly 40 pounds lighter thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, lighter wheels, and thinner glass. It was also the first production car to feature a carbon fiber windscreen wiper.

The Sport received about $275,000 in chassis upgrades over the base Chiron, including a dynamic handling package, retuned steering, improved torque vectoring, stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, quad exhaust outlets, and refined aerodynamics. These enhancements allowed it to lap Italy’s Nardò Ring five seconds quicker than the standard Chiron.

Power comes from an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine producing 1,479 horsepower. The engine features a single crankshaft joining two 15° V8 banks set at a 90° angle, each with dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Four turbochargers feed twin intercoolers and dual intake manifolds, with 32 fuel injectors delivering fuel. Bugatti claims 0–62 mph in 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 261 mph.

Limited to approximately 60 units, the Chiron Sport embodies Bugatti’s signature Molsheim ethos of exclusivity, power, comfort, advanced technology, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Engineered for sharper handling and greater agility while maintaining the Chiron’s hallmark refinement, it remains a standout even among today’s elite hypercars.

This 2020 Bugatti Chiron Sport is one of those rare 60 units, finished in an extraordinary Full Exterior Blue Carbon specification with blue-accented brake calipers. Its Nocturne black “horseshoe” grille surround, taillights, and Caractere wheels heighten the aggressive yet elegant appearance. The interior continues the dramatic theme with Deep Blue and Grigio leather, polished aluminum trim, and Comfort Package seating.

Showing just 10,879 kilometers, it has been maintained exclusively by authorized Bugatti service centers, with a recent major service performed by Bugatti Zürich in February 2024, which included the gearbox, differential, and cooling system fluids. It is accompanied by its manuals, car cover, Speed Key, spare key, and “1 of 500” USB build documentation.
