For a 16th time, vintage Indycars raced around the Milwaukee Mile in honor of Harry Miller and the incredible machines he designed, built and raced. However, in recognition of the January passing of event and Miller Club founder David Uihlein, this yearโs renewal was dedicated to his memory, with his widow, Margery, serving as Grand Marshal.
A record turnout of 53 cars built between 1910 and 1965 took part in Julyโs David V. Uihlein Sr. Memorial Vintage Indy Car weekend, including many machines new to the event alongside the regular entries from stalwart Miller Club members. Among the noteworthy participants was Hurley Haywood (see Page 48), who turned up to drive both a Junior 8 Miller and the Konstant Hot Spl. Watson roadster.
Next yearโs Millers at Milwaukee Meet will take place on July 22โ23, so mark your calendars now for this canโt-miss event. Further information can be found by visiting www.harryillerclub.com
