Among the traditions of the Indianapolis 500 is the annual Front Row photo op on the Monday after Pole Day qualifying. In 1971 that group includedโ€ˆPeter Revson on pole in the works McLaren-Offenhauser, Mark Donohue in the middle with Roger Penskeโ€™s Sunoco McLaren-Offenhauser, and Bobby Unser on the outside with Dan Gurneyโ€™s Olsonite Eagle-Offenhauser. Revson would finish 2nd, with Unser 12th and Donohue 25th, neither running at the end.
