Bugatti opens first Showroom in mainland China with grand launch in Shanghai

Bugatti has officially opened its first dedicated showroom in mainland China, marking a major milestone in the French marqueโ€™s century-long journey of blending art and engineering excellence. The new flagship space, located in the heart of Shanghai, reinforces Bugattiโ€™s growing presence in one of the worldโ€™s most dynamic luxury markets.

For more than a hundred years, Bugatti has captivated collectors and connoisseurs with creations that push the boundaries of automotive innovation and design. The opening of Bugatti Shanghai underscores the brandโ€™s commitment to China โ€” a nation long admired for its appreciation of craftsmanship, heritage, and technological advancement.

Developed in partnership with Kingsway Apex, Bugattiโ€™s trusted representative in mainland China and Hong Kong, the Shanghai showroom embodies the marqueโ€™s meticulous design philosophy. More than just a retail environment, the new space serves as an immersive destination where clients can explore Bugattiโ€™s legacy and experience the brandโ€™s forward-looking innovation first-hand.

The grand opening event brought together an exclusive group of customers and media guests for an evening that celebrated both Bugattiโ€™s heritage and its future. The highlight of the night was the first public appearance of the Bugatti Divo in China โ€” one of only 40 ever built. The Divoโ€™s showcase follows the Chinese debut of the Bugatti Tourbillon earlier this year, further cementing the brandโ€™s growing connection to the region.

During its stay in China, the Divo also made a symbolic appearance in Shanghaiโ€™s Lingang Special Area, a hub of technological innovation, marking another memorable moment in Bugattiโ€™s expanding story in Asia.

The Shanghai opening was attended by Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac; Hendrik Malinowski, Managing Director at Bugatti; and Kostas Psarris, Regional Director for the Middle East and Asia โ€” underscoring the eventโ€™s global importance.

“With the unveiling of the Tourbillon in China earlier this year, we have witnessed an incredible passion for Bugatti hypercars since the Veyron, which celebrates its 20th anniversary,” said Hendrik Malinowski. “Shanghai โ€“ a city where tradition and innovation converge โ€“ is the ideal location for our first brand showroom in mainland China. This new space has been designed as a destination where clients can experience the unparalleled world of Bugatti.”

In addition to its automotive masterpieces, the Shanghai showroom also features elements from the Bugatti Home collection, created in collaboration with Luxury Living Group. The space is adorned with pieces such as the TYPE_3 sofa and ottoman in Voltaic Blue, the TYPE_14 rug, and the TYPE_11 side table โ€” each echoing Bugattiโ€™s signature design language of fluid lines, refined craftsmanship, and the iconic “EB” emblem.

“This showroom stands as a testament to our commitment to providing Chinese clients direct access to the full Bugatti experience,” said Albert Wong, Principal of Kingsway Apex. “Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to reflect the exceptional quality of our automobiles and the unmatched Bugatti ownership journey.”

Shanghaiโ€™s vibrant luxury scene and reputation as a global innovation hub make it the ideal home for Bugattiโ€™s expansion in Asia. The new showroom not only strengthens the brandโ€™s presence in China but also represents a key step in Bugattiโ€™s evolving global retail strategy โ€” one that continues to celebrate the pursuit of the extraordinary.
