Bugatti Bolide owners on the track in Miami

On the sun-drenched tarmac of the Miami International Autodrome, Bugatti recently hosted an unforgettable customer track experience centered on one of the most extreme machines ever produced: the Bugatti Bolide. The exclusive program placed owners behind the wheel of the track-only hypercar while guiding them through a motorsport-level training experience designed to unlock the car’s extraordinary performance.

Learning the Track Before the Bolide

Before stepping into the Bolide, participants first took to the circuit in the formidable McLaren 750S. These high-performance supercars served as the perfect learning platform, allowing drivers to familiarize themselves with the Miami circuit’s fast straights and technical corners under the guidance of professional instructors.

Drivers began with installation laps followed by structured six-lap sessions. Each stint was paired with detailed debriefs, creating a disciplined “drive, analyze, improve” cycle similar to a professional race weekend. As confidence grew, so did the pace, with drivers refining braking points, racing lines, and throttle control.

Enter the Bolide

Once fully acclimated to the circuit, the spotlight shifted to the Bolide itself. A detailed technical briefing prepared participants for the car’s extreme characteristics: massive aerodynamic downforce, racing slick tires operating within narrow performance windows, and power delivery designed purely for circuit domination.

Each driver then participated in five dedicated coaching sessions lasting 45 minutes each. These included installation laps, extended performance runs, and thorough debriefings with engineers and instructors.

Behind the scenes, the operation resembled a professional race team. Tire usage was carefully monitored and replaced at planned intervals, refueling took place during mandatory rest periods, and engineers analyzed driver data in real time to help participants extract more performance from each lap.

A Full Motorsport Operation

Every participant was supported by a personal driving coach and mechanic, along with specialized teams responsible for tires, fuel, and performance data. The setup created an environment where drivers could focus entirely on mastering the Bolide while Bugatti’s technical staff handled the rest.

Instruction came from Bugatti’s own roster of elite racing drivers competing at the highest levels of global motorsport, including guidance from Le Mans–winning driver Andy Wallace, a Bugatti Pilote Officiel whose experience added invaluable insight throughout the program.

Experiencing the Ultimate Track Machine

“The Bolide represents the most extreme interpretation of our track ambition,” said Alexis Ploix, Director of After Sales and Customer Service at Bugatti. “In Miami, our customers experienced not only the car’s performance but also the progression required to master it.”

As the day concluded and the sun set over South Florida, participants gathered for a champagne celebration at the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale. There, drivers shared stories from the track alongside Bugatti leadership, including Sascha Doering, Chief Operating Officer of Bugatti of the Americas.

The event captured exactly what the Bolide was built for: pure, uncompromising track performance. For the lucky few behind the wheel, it was more than a driving program, it was a rare glimpse into the raw edge of Bugatti’s motorsport ambition.
