RM Sotheby’s will present an exceptionally configured pair of 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale models at its London auction on October 31, 2026, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire two closely related examples of Ferrari’s celebrated naturally aspirated V-8 supercar. Commissioned together through Ferrari’s Tailor Made personalization programme, the berlinetta and open-top Aperta share a distinctive satin-silver finish, Blu Nart racing graphics, extensive exposed carbon-fibre detailing, and sequential chassis numbers.
The pairing represents two interpretations of the same performance-focused philosophy: the fixed-roof 458 Speciale prioritizes lightweight construction and precision, while the limited-production Speciale Aperta combines comparable engineering with the added appeal of open-air driving.
Naturally Aspirated V-8 Performance
At the heart of both Ferraris is the 4.5-litre naturally aspirated F136 V-8, producing 597 brake horsepower at 9,000 rpm. With a 14:1 compression ratio and competition-derived engine revisions, the powerplant delivers immediate throttle response and a high-revving character that distinguishes the 458 Speciale from its turbocharged successors.
Power reaches the rear wheels through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari’s performance package also incorporates magnetorheological dampers, an electronically controlled rear differential, F1-Trac traction control, and Side Slip Control. Active aerodynamic elements adjust the balance between drag and downforce, complementing the car’s chassis development and weight-saving measures.
The Speciale Aperta retains this mechanical foundation while adding an aluminium retractable hardtop. Its roof folds away in approximately 14 seconds, and the open-top model weighs around 50 kilograms more than the berlinetta. Despite the additional structural requirements, Ferrari engineered the Aperta to preserve the Speciale’s focused driving character.

A Distinctive Tailor Made Specification
Both cars wear Alluminio Grezzo Opaco, a distinctive satin-silver finish, complemented by Blu Nart racing graphics. Black brake calipers, titanium sports exhausts, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and exposed carbon-fibre components reinforce the motorsport-inspired presentation. A suspension-lift system adds practical clearance for road use.
Inside, Alcantara trim, carbon-fibre racing seats, contrasting white stitching, and embroidered Cavallino Rampante emblems continue the bespoke theme. The Aperta features high-tech 3D fabric upholstery, while the berlinetta uses Mycro Prestige fabric. Their specifications also include selected comfort and convenience equipment, including navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and parking assistance.

Sequential Chassis Numbers and Auction Estimates
The cars’ most compelling distinction is their shared commissioning history. Delivered new in the United Kingdom and retained by just two owners apiece, the cars had recorded 1,980 miles and 1,751 miles, respectively, at cataloguing. Both are accompanied by Ferrari-issued scale models, Tailor Made documentation, UK MoT certificates, and service records.
RM Sotheby’s assigns the 458 Speciale an estimate of £500,000–£700,000 ($700,000–$950,000) and the Speciale Aperta an estimate of £1.2 million–£1.5 million ($1.6 million–$2.05 million). Both are offered without reserve at the London auction on October 31, 2026.
