Alfa Romeo Giulia Customers Asked for Exhaust Upgrade and Alfa Delivered

You Can Now Get the Loud Exhaust Note Outside of Race Mode

If you haven’t heard it, you’re missing out. The exhaust note of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a wonderful thing. It’s a loud and raucous rumble, and one of the best sounding V6 engines that we can think of. While the Giulia Quadrifoglio is far from perfect, from a driving standpoint it’s darn good, and the exhaust note is one of its best parts.

However, there was a problem with the Giulia’s exhaust note. You could only really hear the real-deal in race mode. Race mode is great for certain applications, but what if you didn’t want to suspension to be super stiff and the steering very heavy? Well, you’d have to settle for the subdued exhaust note. Alfa recently caught wind that its customers didn’t like this and set about changing it.

Now, you can get an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio that will allow you to have a loud and glorious exhaust note in dynamic mode, too. This means the car won’t feel quite so hardcore while you’re just driving around town and you can still enjoy the sonorous music that comes from the V6 engine.

According to CarBuzz, an Alfa Romeo spokesperson told the publication that sales of cars with this feature will begin this month. If you have an older Giulia, though, it sounds like you’ll have to settle for the loud exhaust note in race mode. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Alfa working on a way to please those customers, too.
