Anticipated Supercars of 2018

2017 was quite the year for supercars. With the Bugatti Chiron’s 1,479bhp quad-turbo W16, and the Tesla Roadster with its 250mph claimed speed limit to name just two of the best, some might be wondering just how 2018 could possibly keep up.

However, 2018 truly is set to be an amazing year in the world of supercars, and frankly, we couldn’t be more excited. Here, we’ve pulled together some of the most anticipated cars for 2018.

New Aston Martin Vantage

The Aston Martin Vantage was first introduced in 1977, but fell out of production in 1989. Later, in 2005, another model was introduced and took the automotive world by storm, but with the Vantage getting yet another revamp for 2018, can it truly live up to the hype? Visit the Aston Martin website and click through to the beautifully designed page for the New Vantage, and you’ll be greeted by an image of a wolf – an appropriate image, in our opinion. This model comes with a high powered 4.0 lire twin-turbocharged V8 engine, giving the hefty roar that Aston Martin is so famous for. This agile, dynamic car is everything you need for race tracks and country roads alike, and with a stylish yet extremely functional and immersive interior, you won’t find a more comfortable drive.

2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Chevrolet’s brand new 2019 Corvette ZR1 might not be available just yet, but with a ‘Spring 2018’ release date, it’s only a matter of time. With an exterior that commands the utmost respect and adoration and an interior that is truly driver-friendly and spacious for passengers, this model certainly doesn’t skimp on style despite its focus on performance. This is easily the most powerful car that Chevrolet has ever made with a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, and its power certainly doesn’t mean a lack of agility. This model is easy to control and driver-focused, and with the release date coming soon, there isn’t long to wait.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster

We couldn’t have a list of supercars without including Lamborghini now, could we? The new Aventador S Roadster is kitted out with a V12 engine, an incredible 740 horsepower, unfaltering agility and the classic Lamborghini design that we all love so much. This open-top model is not only stunning on the outside, but the interior certainly takes our breath away too. With the option of Carbon Skin material and some incredible driver-focused technology to explore included as standard, there is plenty about this model to keep you enthralled with every drive.

Mercedes-AMG Project ONE

The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE has been a much-anticipated car throughout 2017, with very little knowledge of its specifications. But this year brings new information, new excitement, and maybe even a commercial release date! This model was built with Formula 1 efficiency but is designed for everyday road use too – well, if you can handle this high-performance hybrid and its 1,000 PS and top speeds of over 350km/h, that is.

2018 still holds many unanswered questions in the way of what’s to come, especially with 2019 models already making their way to the frontline. However, what we can say is that it looks to be quite the exciting 12 months. Will the Honda NSX get a much-deserved revamp this year and earn its spot on next year’s list? Or could we finally get our hands on the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE on a more commercial scale? Watch this space!
