
The Bonhams Aston Martin 2015 auction was held Saturday 9th May at Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell, UK, resulting in ยฃ10,280,275 in total sales. The largest auction in Bonhams 16-year history at Aston Martin Works, the sale featured more than 50 motor cars and 170 lots of automobilia, with 25% of motor cars left-hand drive specification.
Highlights of Bonhams’ 2015 Aston Martin sale included the 1962 DB4 Series IV Vantage Convertible โ originally the property of Sir Peter Ustinov โ which sold for ยฃ1,513,500, and top lot of the sale, the 1966 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible in โVantageโ specification, which sold for ยฃ1,524,700 including buyerโs premium.
โBarn findโ and project cars also sold well, with a brace of 1958 Aston Martin DB Mark III Sports Saloons performing well, with one selling at twice its top estimate and achieving ยฃ104,540 and the other changing hands for ยฃ115,740.
