Canadaโs famed Mosport Park, now being called Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, will host an all-new โCelebration of Speedโ this June 27-29. Called Glory Days, the event will offer attendees the spirit and style of Englandโs Goodwood Festival of Speed, but in a Canadian setting, with the intention of revitalizing the emotional link to motor sport that many of those fans may have lost. To do this, Glory Days will feature cars from the time when many of todayโs race fans first made their connections to the sport.
โBack in the โ50s, โ60s and โ70s it was much easier to enjoy the full experience of driving and riding,โ offered Glory Days organizer Bob DeShane. โThe roads were less crowded and it was easier to take the steps necessary to get involved in clubs and competition, get on track, if you wanted to. Over the years things have just gotten so expensive, so regulated, so structured that today, many enthusiasts and potential enthusiasts find it terribly difficult to get involvedโor even stay interested.โ
