Willys-Knight

Willys-Knight cars, produced by the Willys-Overland Company, were distinguished by their unique Knight sleeve-valve engines, which offered a smooth and quiet ride compared to conventional engines of the era. Established in 1914, the Willys-Knight brand quickly gained popularity for its innovative engineering and reliability. The Knight sleeve-valve engine, designed by Charles Yale Knight, used sliding sleeves instead of poppet valves, reducing noise and vibration while providing ample power and efficiency. Willys-Knight cars were known for their durability and performance, making them a preferred choice among motorists seeking quality and refinement. Despite facing challenges during the Great Depression, Willys-Knight cars left an indelible mark on automotive history, embodying the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship synonymous with the Willys-Overland Company.
