Coldwell

Coldwell cars, also known as Caldwell, were the brainchild of Ray Caldwell, an innovative American engineer and entrepreneur who made his mark in the 1960s and 1970s. Caldwell’s company, Autodynamics, produced a series of competitive racing cars that gained recognition in various motorsport disciplines, including Formula Vee and Formula Ford. The most notable of these was the Caldwell D9, which became a dominant force in Formula Vee racing due to its advanced engineering and lightweight design. Caldwell cars were celebrated for their exceptional handling, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, making them popular choices among amateur racers and enthusiasts. Although Ray Caldwell eventually shifted his focus to other ventures, including founding the successful race car manufacturer, Autodynamics, the legacy of Caldwell cars endures, symbolizing a golden era of American grassroots motorsport innovation.
