Old Yeller

Old Yeller Cars, founded by Max Balchowsky, is a legendary name in American motorsport history, renowned for its custom-built racing machines that dominated the tracks in the 1950s and 1960s. The most famous of these creations was the “Old Yeller” series of sports racing cars, characterized by their lightweight construction, powerful engines, and exceptional performance. Built using parts from various manufacturers and Balchowsky’s ingenuity, Old Yeller cars were purpose-built for racing, excelling in events like the SCCA races and the famous Riverside International Raceway. The simplicity, reliability, and raw speed of Old Yeller cars made them favorites among drivers and spectators alike, earning them a special place in the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts. Though production was limited, the legacy of Old Yeller cars lives on through their contributions to American racing heritage and the spirit of innovation they embodied.
