Eccentrica Development Successful

From the dyno to the track, progress continues

Recent testing and development at Eccentrica has yielded a more refined mechanical package that will power the first customer cars, which are scheduled to start production in September. June will be devoted to further fine-tuning of the gearbox and suspension before we lock the final specification.

Refinement

Engine & Driveline:

The naturally aspirated 5.7 L V12 breathes through revised cam profiles, enlarged airboxes, and a clean-sheet ECU calibration. On the dyno both the power and torque curves now sit above the original Diablo donor across the entire rev range, with a noticeably flatter plateau from 3,000 rpm upward. That translates into harder mid-range acceleration every time you squeeze the throttle.

Chassis Dynamics

Semi-active TracTive dampers and re-worked suspension geometry neutralize the donor car’s high-speed under-steer while preserving the analogue weight transfer enthusiasts expect from a 1990s supercar.

Electronics

A three-mode traction logic: Wet, Road, and Track monitors longitudinal slip only, keeping steering feel fully hydraulic and unfiltered.

Braking System

Brembo four-piston calipers clamp larger 355 mm ventilated rotors; line-pressure sensors stream live data into the telemetry stack, giving engineers a granular view of pedal modulation and heat cycles.

Driver Feedback

Founder-driver Emanuel Colombini stepped out of the cockpit grinning: “It’s raw, yet it talks to you. Compared with the Diablo it starts to pull sooner and holds a clean, neutral line the whole way through a fast corner.” Steering kick-back is gone, lateral grip climbs deep into track-tire territory, and the Capristo-voiced V12 remains the visceral heart of every lap.

A clarified mission

From Eccentrica, “We are restoring and elevating an icon, not chasing quadruple-digit horsepower or hybrid lap records. The longitudinal V12, gated manual and steel backbone stay true to their origin, while every surrounding system is engineered and validated to modern OEM standards. The result is an analogue driving hit that today’s digital hypercars simply cannot replicate.”

Monterey Car Week

Looking ahead, Eccentrica will reveal the next performance chapter of the Eccentrica V12 at The Quail during Monterey Car Week this August in the United States.
