The Ferrari 458 Italia, shaped with input from F1 legend Michael Schumacher, marked a milestone as the most advanced mid-engined V-8 Berlinetta in Ferrari’s history. Its open-top Spider version debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, followed in 2013 by the 458 Speciale, which gained power—rising from 570 to 597 HP at 9,000 RPM—along with improved aerodynamics and upgraded electronic systems.
Soon after came the 458 Speciale Aperta, the Spider variant, which delivered the same blistering acceleration, razor-sharp handling, and signature exhaust howl, earning the title of Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated Spider until the LaFerrari Aperta arrived in 2017.
The Speciale Aperta housed a refined 4.5L V-8 with improved intake tracts, higher-lift cams, lower internal friction, and increased compression. Its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission was recalibrated for faster shifts, complemented by enhanced suspension, next-gen carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires for maximum track performance.
Ferrari built just 499 examples of the 458 Speciale A, with fewer than 20 believed to have left the factory in Blu Tour de France. This car is one of them, finished with a dual-tone racing stripe in Grigio Ingrid and Nero. Exterior options include titanium exhaust tips, Giallo Modena brake calipers, the Adaptive Frontlight System, suspension lift, and a rear camera with parking sensors. Inside, it features Blu Medio Alcantara and Nero leather with extensive carbon fiber trim.
Completed in April 2015 for the Canadian market, it was delivered new to a client in Edmonton via Ferrari of Alberta and registered with vanity plates reading “BLUTIFUL.” The first owner reportedly kept the car until 2023, covering just 850 km (528 miles). A second owner in Toronto added fewer than 100 km before it was imported to the U.S. this year.
Showing under 600 miles, you now have the opportunity to be the next owner of this low-mileage Ferrari 458 Speciale A on RM Sotheby’s.
