Currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 2017 Ferrari F12tdf is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 producing 769 horsepower. The “tdf” name references Ferrari models that dominated the Tour de France road-and-track race from 1956 to 1964, establishing the template for a grand tourer capable of winning under extreme racing conditions. One of just 799 built, it has seen limited use, showing only 1,878 miles.
A recalibrated seven-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers upshifts 30 percent faster and downshifts 40 percent quicker, with closer ratios. Chassis revisions include a wider track, sharper turn-in from improved front grip, and Ferrari’s first use of four-wheel steering for greater corner-exit stability.
Aerodynamic changes generate 87 percent more downforce than the standard F12, while expanded use of carbon fiber and a stripped interior reduce weight by 240 pounds. Performance reflects these gains: 0–60 mph in 2.9 seconds, a top speed over 211 mph, and a Fiorano lap time two seconds quicker than the F12 and just over a second behind LaFerrari.
This example is finished in Rosso Berlinetta with Scuderia Ferrari fender shields and an Italian tricolor on the rear decklid. The interior features large carbon-backed racing seats trimmed in Blu Medio Alcantara with Rosso Ferrari inserts, stitching, and embroidered Cavallino logos.
Matching Alcantara covers the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, headliner, door panels, rear wall, and parcel shelf, complemented by carbon-fiber trim and Rosso seatbelts. Equipment includes a passenger-side display, navigation, JBL Professional audio, Apple CarPlay, diamond-finished 20-inch forged wheels, red brake calipers, and a suspension lift system.
