FOR SALE: 2020 McLaren Senna GTR

Allocated a more powerful Senna GTR LM engine produceing 833 hp

The McLaren Senna, named after Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, debuted in 2018 as the brandโ€™s most track-focused road car, with a limited production run of 500 units. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 789 hp, it featured aerodynamics designed purely for downforce.

McLaren later introduced the track-only Senna GTR, a track-only version that, at the time, was the fastest McLaren built outside of Formula 1. Constructed on the MonoCage III carbon-fiber monocoque, it carried a dry weight of 2,619 poundsโ€”22 pounds lighter than the road model.

The GTR also benefited from a wider track front and rear, an aggressive aerodynamic package featuring an active rear wing, a drag reduction system, a revised splitter, and a diffuser, which produced up to 2,205 pounds of downforce at 155 mph.

Offered for sale on Bring a Trailer is the 73rd Senna GTR produced and is finished in a livery modeled after Sennaโ€™s racing helmet, combining MSO Solar Yellow paint with bespoke vinyl graphics. Its specifications include a polycarbonate windshield and windows, a roof scoop, side and front intakes, rearview cameras with radar-based collision warning, and integrated pneumatic air jacks.

Inside, the stripped-out cockpit is fitted with fixed-back Sabelt racing seats in Black Alcantara with six-point harnesses. A full roll cage, pit-to-car radio, fire suppression system, and data logger are installed, alongside LM logo pedals, leather pull straps, and air conditioning.

Showing only 543 miles since new, the car remains in exceptional condition. Notably, it has been allocated a rare Senna GTR LM engineโ€”believed to be the only one outside the original five cars built. The upgraded unit, currently held at McLarenโ€™s UK factory, features a remapped ECU, matrix valve-spring retainers, ported and polished heads, and revised exhaust rails. It produces 833 hp with an increased 9,000 rpm redline, sending power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch SSG transmission.
