FOR SALE:2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta

The open-top counterpart of the track-focused 458 Speciale; limited to just 499 examples

The 458 Speciale Aperta debuted at the 2014 Paris Motor Show as the open-top counterpart to the 458 Speciale. It uses a lightweight retractable hardtop that operates in 14 seconds and occupies less space than a traditional soft-top. The rear window functions independently to reduce cabin turbulence, and the hardtop provides better weather protection, sound insulation, and headroom while also improving high-speed stability.

Although the Aperta adds 772 pounds over the coupe, it matches the Specialeโ€™s 0โ€“62 mph time of 3.0 seconds. Performance differences appear only past 124 mph, where it trails by a few tenths, and in top speedโ€”198.8 mph versus the coupeโ€™s 201.9 mph.

Ferrari built just 499 examples, and its rarity, celebrated handling, and status as the last naturally aspirated V-8 variant have made the 458 Speciale Aperta increasingly desirable. One of these fine examples is currently up for sale on Collecting Cars: a 2015 model finished in Giallo Triplo Strato with a Blu Nart center stripe, blue carbon-fiber accents, and black Cavallino emblems.

The interior is trimmed in Nero Alcantara with Giallo seatbelts and stitching, Cavallino-embroidered headrests, and blue-tinted carbon-fiber inlays. It rides on black 20-inch dual five-spoke wheels paired with Giallo brake calipers, Brembo carbon-ceramic discs, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The specification includes Adaptive Front Headlights Plus, cruise control, a telemetry kit, track cameras, a front suspension lifter, titanium exhaust tips, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, carbon-style racing seats, and full exterior and interior carbon packs.
