On September 8, 23 Ferrari 250 GTOs rendevoused at Burgundy’s elegant Chateau de Saran for the start of the week-long GTO Rally. Undoubtedly one of the most exclusive rallies in the world, this year’s GTO Rally honored the 40th anniversary of Ferrari’s most famous GT racer with a week of activities that included wine-tasting, a track day at France’s Dijon circuit and a breathtaking tour through the Jura mountains. Notable among the GTO contingent were a strong American presence, which included Rob Walton, Ed Davis and John Shirley, who suffered an unfortunate fender bender with a hapless French motorist.
