Historic Formula One Looks Likely to Support United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis

While not yet official, it has been recently announced that a field of historic Formula One cars will likely take part in the inaugural US Grand Prix to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sepember 22-24.

Current plans call for an exhibition group of 30 very select historic F1 cars from 1966-1983 to run on the new Indy infield road course as a support group for the USGP.

The much heralded return of the Formula One โ€œcircusโ€ to the United States will also include rounds of the Ferrari Challenge and the Porsche Super Cup.

Once confirmed, this special historic F1 event would cap off a series of summer historic F1 races which will include rounds at the Monterey Prehistorics, the Monterey Historics and Watkins Glen. VRJ will provide more details as they become available.
