This weekend in Italy, some 80 entrants will take part in La Leggenda di Bassano for the Trofeo Giannino Marzotto, a regularity event organized by the Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca “Giannino Marzotto” for Sport Barchetta vehicles built until 1960.
The event’s route will take those participants along the most beautiful roads of the Dolomite Mountains, ranging from Bassano del Grappa to Merano and back again, and this year’s event will be covered by the Dutch television network RTL Nederland, which will broadcast a special prime time program about it. This year’s running also welcomes the return of Maison Svizzera de orologeria Eberhard & Co. as its main sponsor.
“So far we have 80 participants,” confirmed Stefano Chiminelli, president of the organization committee, “and the parterre is truly exceptional, with unique cars that have made the history of sports car racing, and which maintain a fascination that has not been changed by time. La Leggenda is truly a unique world event. It unites passion, culture, friendship and the incomparable sights of our Dolomites.”
