With three World Championships (including the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP titles) to his name, along with 40 wins and 78 podium finishes, Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia is one of the most successful riders in Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
The lucky number 63 on his Ducati Desmosedici GP ties the rider from Turin with Lamborghini, founded in 1963. Bagnaia is a big fan of the super sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese, so he seized the chance to be one of the first to take the wheel of the new Temerario[1] High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) with a new twin-turbo Lamborghini V8 engine that can reach 10,000 rpm.
Bagnaia Comments
Like a racing motorbike, it feels like it can keep pushing more and more: “I’d never felt anything like it. Rather than a turbo, it almost feels like it has a naturally aspirated engine with an enhanced intake. Reaching 10,000 rpm is incredible. I was astounded not only by that, but also by how easy it is to drive. It makes for a stunning combination.”’
Bagnaia also appreciated Temerario’s outstanding performance. Delivering 920 CV thanks to its V8 twin-turbo engine paired with three electric motors, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 343 km/h.
