One-of-a-Kind Bugatti Veyron Crosses the Auction Block

Commissioned with a Transformers-inspired livery

Widely regarded as the most desirable version of Bugatti’s Veyron, the Grand Sport Vitesse combines the 1,200 hp quad-turbocharged W-16 engine with open-top bodywork, offering an exceptional driving experience. Matching the performance of the Veyron Super Sport coupe, it accelerates from 0–62 mph in 2.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 255 mph, making it the world’s fastest production roadster at its debut.

To preserve rigidity without a fixed roof, Bugatti reinforced the chassis to minimize body roll during acceleration, braking, and cornering, ensuring uncompromising handling. Only 92 units were built, and this example, crossing the Broad Arrow Auctions block on October 10, is among the final ones produced.

Commissioned by a Transformers enthusiast, this Vitesse features a custom two-tone light and dark blue carbon-fiber exterior with the franchise’s logo painted on the front. Inside, the theme continues with a metal Transformers emblem between the blue-and-black leather Sport Comfort seats with contrasting stitching.

Tested in Molsheim in September 2014 and delivered to Southern California in July 2015, it appeared at McCall’s Motorworks Revival and the San Francisco Auto Show later that year. After ownership transfers in Monaco (2018) and Spain (2024), the car remains well-maintained.

Showing 6,015 kilometers, this 2015 Grand Sport Vitesse stands out as a uniquely specified and highly collectible expression of Bugatti’s engineering excellence. It is expected to fetch somewhere between $2,225,000 – $2,693,000 at the auction.
