One-of-Five Italdesign Zerouno Coupé Hits the Auction Block

One of fnly five Zerouno coupés produced

Set to be offered at Bonhams Cars’ The Zoute Sale on October 12, this 2018 Italdesign Zerouno is expected to bring up to $1,400,000. With only five coupés built, the Zerouno is Italdesign Automobili Speciali’s first limited-production supercar and one of the rarest modern exotics.

Unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Zerouno was the first supercar launched under Italdesign Automobili Speciali, marking a bold shift for a firm best known for shaping mainstream icons such as the Volkswagen Golf, Lancia Delta, and Citroën BX. Designed under the direction of Filippo Perini, the Zerouno features a carbon-fiber body over a modular carbon and aluminum chassis, providing both strength and lightness.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10, shared with the Lamborghini Huracán and Audi R8 Plus, delivering 602hp and 413lb/ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, it achieves 0–60mph in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205mph. Aerodynamics dominate its design, with features including a double-decker rear venturi, titanium diffuser, Y-duct front air channel, and brake-exhausting wing-top vents, ensuring stability and comfort even at high speeds.

This example has covered only 1,000 kilometres from new and remains effectively in as-new condition. Registered in Belgium, it embodies the vision of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s legendary firm as it transitioned from world-renowned design house to independent supercar manufacturer.
