Simeone Award to Hobbs

David Hobbs has been selected to receive the โ€œSpirit of Competitionโ€ award from the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum at the organizationโ€™s annual fundraiser, November 18, at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia.

Hobbs, who won the SCCA Formula 5000 championship in 1971 and the Trans-Am championship in 1983, enjoyed a 30-year cockpit career driving virtually everything before turning his talents toward the broadcast booth where heโ€™s become a household name because of his colorful commentary on F1 broadcasts for multiple networks.

The event begins at 6 p.m., and will consist of a dinner with open bar, an award presentation by Dr. Frederick Simeone, plus music by the Gin Canaries. Tickets are $150 per person, $275 for a pair of tickets, and $1000 for a table of eight people.โ€จ For complete information please visit www.simeonemuseum.org
