The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition Makes a Wild Torque Number

634 lb-ft? Yes Please

If you’re looking for a torque monster with an electric motor and a Ford badge, then may I suggest the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition? This car (crossover) is a true high-performance machine with more torque than the standard GT model and some tweaked exterior design elements.

According to Evo, the vehicle pairs an 88 kWh battery with an electric motor on each axle for a combined output of 459 hp and a whopping 634 lb-ft of torque. That’s actually 146 lb-ft more torque than the Tesla Model Y Performance and more than the Shelby GT500.

As you might expect, this electric Mustang is very quick. It will do a 0-62 mph run in just 3.7 seconds. That’s 1.4 seconds faster than the standard Mach-E with AWD. The top speed isn’t as impressive, but it’s still up there at 124 mph. It’s 13 mph quicker than the other Mach-E variants.

This new Performance Edition has a slightly smaller battery pack, so its range suffers a bit. That said, the vehicle can still do 310 miles per charge, which is only about 25 miles lower than the standard Mach-E. The Performance Edition also gets Ford’s MagneRide adaptive suspension, larger 20-inch wheels, Ford Performance seats, Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange color options.

The styling changes for the exterior are minimal. The grille is more traditional and moves this vehicle in line with the gasoline-powered Mustangs. Overall, this is a wicked fast Mach-E.
