In honor of this year’s 40th anniversary of Derek Bennett’s founding Chevron Cars, a group of dedicated enthusiasts is organizing a 2005 Chevron Tour. This series of race weekends will feature special Chevron-only races, as well as dedicated paddock displays, parties and race souvenirs. The tentative schedule of events is to include the Jefferson 500 (May 20–22, Summit Point Raceway, VA); Southern California Historic Sports Car Festival (June 24–26, California Speedway, CA); Gold Cup (Aug. 27–28, Oulton Park, England) and the Fontana Historic Races (Sept. 17–18, California Speedway, CA).
